MY BEST FRIEND Blogging Competition is open to all Malaysians above 18 years old (except
staff of MPH Group of companies) from 1st June to 1st August, 2010.
A panel will shortlist 10 entries and these shortlisted entries will be announced
on our facebook fanpage www.facebook.com/mphclick.
The public will then be invited to vote for the best story from 16th to 3rd September,
2010. The story with the highest number of votes will win! Each of the TEN shortlisted
stories will win prizes as well!

- Entitle your blog post: "My Best Friend" and place our Competition Banner on your blog site. Banners can be either downloaded or linked to by copying and pasting the HTML code below:

- Write in 400-600 words your story and blog it. Load your images and videos as well
if any. If you don’t have a blog yet, get one at https://www.blogger.com/start ,
http://wordpress.com/ or http://www.livejournal.com/
- Visit http://www.mphonline.com/contest/submit_story.aspx and fill in the registration form and submit the URL/link to your blog post.
- Go to Facebook at www.facebook.com/mphclick to get updates on whether your
entry is shortlisted list! If your entry is shortlisted, be ready to get your friends to vote for your story
at www.mphonline.com/contest/my_best_friend.aspx. Story with the most votes will win!

- Story submission date: 1st June (10am) to 1st August (10am) 2010.
- Each contestant can submit only ONE entry.
- Contestant must be a Malaysian above 18 years old.
- Staff of MPH Groups of Companies are not allowed to participate.
- Story must be written in the English language.
- Story must be between 400 to 600 words.
- Pictures and videos are allowed.
- Participants must upload their entry at www.mphonline.com/contest/submit_story.aspx
and provide
a link to their blog/website together with their Full Name, NRIC Number, Email Address,
and Mobile Phone Number.
- TEN shortlisted entries will be judged by a panel comprising of MPH employees. Contest
entries will be judged based on quality, originality, and positive values.
- Voting starts from 16th August (10am) to 3rd September (10am) 2010. Each person
is allowed to vote for one story only.
- The ranking of the shortlisted TEN entries will be based according to numbers of
votes.
- The most voted story will win the top prize, the second most voted story will win
the second prize, and so on.
- Judges’ decision is final, no enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
- Entry not submitted in compliance with the Rules and Regulations stated here will
be considered invalid and not eligible for the competition. Contestant must strictly
follow the 4 Steps to submit an entry. Entry submitted in compliance with the Rules
and Regulations stated here will be considered valid entry.
- All entries must be original individual piece of work of the participants. Participants
are required to comply with copyright and trademark laws in blogging for this competition.
This includes the story, photos and videos used in the entry. Plagiarism will result
in disqualification.
- 1st Prize: ONE iriver e-Reader ; 2nd Prize: RM300 worth of Book Vouchers; 3rd Prize:
RM200 Book Vouchers; Seven Consolation prizes: RM100 worth of Book Vouchers each.
Notwithstanding the above, MPH reserves the rights to replace the prizes with other
prizes of similar value at any time without any prior notice.
- The winners will be contacted directly. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash
or otherwise. You may be invited for a prize presentation ceremony and photography
session.
- MPH reserves the rights to delete, remove, reject or not consider any content and/or
entry and/or content of any the entries deemed improper or offensive or sensitive
in whatever nature.
- Contestants shall indemnify and hold harmless MPH Bookstores Sdn. Bhd., its agents,
employees or representatives from and against any and all claims, suits, judgements,
damages, liabilities and losses, including costs and expenses incidental thereto
of any nature whatsoever and regardless how caused directly or indirectly linked
to this Competition.
- Copyright of each entry remains with the respective participants. However, by submitting
the entry for this competition, the participants grant a worldwide, irrevocable
and perpetual licence to MPH Bookstores Sdn. Bhd. to feature any or all of the uploaded
submitted entry, images and videos in any of MPH’s publications and channels.
